09/21/2009 | Fires burn across S. Oregon - last update Ashland fire was at 100acres and growing but much slower, new fire in East Medford was at 50acres and growing very fast.
As a result many in S. Oregon have no power and we have been seeing DSL in all areas effected due to infrastructure in the fire or power being shut off as preventative measures.
We are trying to keep up on where outages are occurring, at the moment if you have questions about service please feel free to call our normal support line.
Our thoughts and hearts are with those who lost their houses in the fire and those who are still threatened.
Thank You,

06/18/2009 | There was an issue in the Medford Qwest central office today that affected all data connectivity for almost all providers in the Rogue Valley.
During this time because phone service as well as internet service was not accessible we were unable to inform our customer of the issues.
The connectivity to multiple providers and vendors in the valley went down at 12:36pm and we are now getting reports from the Medford Central office that connectivity and telecom services are being restored.
We are sorry for any problems this may have caused, if you would like further information or have questions please give us a call at 541-773-5000
Thank You

06/17/2009 | I will be upgrading CMTS4 on Wednesday night starting at 11:59 PM. This is
a minor software update. I anticipate downtime will be less than 1 hour. I
should be finished with all work by 2 AM. This upgrade will affect all

04/09/2009 | We have recently turned on SMTP authentication on our mail servers, this is a feature that allows a user to enter a username and password for their outgoing SMTP server so that they may send mail even while not on InfoStructures immediate network, IE while traveling.
Some mail clients have had SMTP authentication checked by default in the settings but until now the server was ignoring those settings. If you are receiving an error when trying to send mail you will need to do 1 of 2 options:
- Uncheck SMTP authentication in your email client.
- Enter the correct information for SMTP authentication to work.
Here are some links to pages on how to change the settings for specific mail clients:
Outlook Express
Outlook 2003
Outlook 2007
Outlook 2000
Thunderbird
Entourage
Mac Mail
Please note that these pages are for reference use only in how to find the settings - the actual settings listed in these examples are not InfoStructures Settings, below are the correct settings for your mail setup:
Outgoing Mail SMTP
mail.mind.net
Port
25
Username
FULL email address
Password
Pass to that email address
If you have any trouble please feel free to give our techs a call at 541-773-5000
