Friends of the Animal Shelter (FOTAS) is a non-profit organization that supports the programs of the Jackson County Animal Shelter. Our mission is to increase pet adoption, to improve the quality of life for Shelter animals, and to promote spay/neuter.

2008 Puss 'n Boots Ball a success!
Despite very poor economic times, local businesses and the community continue to support the work of FOTAS who continue to support the animals and programs at the Jackson County Shelter.
Thank you to over 150 businesses and individuals who donated items or services to our Silent Auction and our first Live Auction, thanks to the volunteers who worked on the event and donated hundreds of hours and a special thanks to our community for turning out to support the 17th Annual Puss and Boots Ball. The money raised will literally save hundreds of lives.
