InfoStream Dial-Up Accelerator

IMPORTANT NOTES
You must call InfoStructure and sign up for the InfoStream Web Accelerator before following the instructions below or InfoStream will not work. Accelerated dialup sells for $22.95 per month. If you have and existing dialup account with InfoStructure, you can convert to InfoStream accelerated dialup without changing your username, password, or dialer configuration.
INFOSTREAM MINIMUM SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
The InfoStream Web Accelerator minimum requirements include a Pentium 200MHz PC (or equivalent) with 64MB RAM, at least 5MB of hard-drive space, and works with Internet Explorer 4.0 (or later) and Netscape Communicator 4.0 (or later).
GETTING STARTED WITH INFOSTREAM
1. Downloading InfoStream
- Download the file InfoStream_install.exe to your desktop
- Once the download has completed, proceed to Step 2.
2. Installing InfoStream
- Click "OPEN" when the file download completes or find the icon on your Desktop called "InfoStream_install.exe" and double-click it to start the installation procedure.
- Once the installation finishes you will be prompted for a username and password. Enter the username and password provided to you by InfoStructure. The same username and password are used for your dialup connection and primary e-mail account. The username must include the domain so it looks like yourname@mind.net
- To avoid having to keep entering your username and password each time, ensure that the "Save Password" box is checked and then proceed to Step 3.
- The installation file may be moved from your desktop or deleted after installation is completed.
3. Starting InfoStream
- InfoStream Web Accelerator is automatically started when your computer starts up.
- Your computer must connect to the dialup service first.
- Acceleration will begin as soon as a supported browser (such as Internet Explorer or Netscape) is started.
- On some Windows platforms a bubble icon will appear when the InfoStream Service has been established. On all other Windows platforms, you can verify that InfoStream Service has been established by hovering over the InfoStream tray icon (you should see a "InfoStream Service Enabled..." message).
4. Using InfoStream
- Browse the web or download email as you normally would.
- Your web access will be automatically accelerated by the InfoStream Web Accelerator.
- If you desire to stop the application, select Stop InfoStream from the pop-up menu by clicking the InfoStream logo on the system tray (an InfoStructure is logo on a white background).
- If you desire to exit the application completely, click Exit from the pop-up menu.
